The question was…   What do you think would be a good  pre registration year to be eligible to  win the pre registration prize?

No age limit

15 years (1991 or older)

20 years (1986 or older)

25 years (1981 or older)

I do not believe that the vehicle age cutoff is justified, as Moparfest is not necessarily an antique car show. However, if the restriction goes away, more vehicles may come and where will all of the new entries park? Logistics comes into play and some faithful attendees may be turned away due to increased attendance. This is a complex question with no simple answer. My opinion - All attendees with a registered vehicle on display should be eligible to win the prize.

I have no problem with 15 year old cars being entered. They will help keep the kids coming out as spectators, and ultimately participants.

20 years

I would like to see the 25 year… 1981 gets it closer to my memories of the muscle cars.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Moparfest has a great concept here, 1,300 vehicles on the Sunday last year. Anyone can offer cash prizes. Most of us would not have a use for a Hemi and would end up selling it anyway.

open it to all years. YES XXXX

15 yrs or older is fine - if a car is on the road that long in today’s salt and road conditions it deserves a little admiring from us MOPAR NUTS, so bring it on.

1986 (20 years old) is fair

1981 = 25 years or older, and move it every year so your car must be at least 25 years old

I would like to see the prize be available to all people who reregistered, it is only fair, they pay the same money to register as people with older mopar cars. And if that is not possible it should be moved to 15 year old vehicle and then advance 1 year, ever year from that date. example 2007 would be 1992 , 2008 would be 1992 and so on. This to me would be fair to everybody.

I feel it is good to keep it at 20 yrs

I thought 25

if you own it and drive it in you should be able to win regardless of age

I think the cut off date is alright as is. Chrysler didn't produce many performance cars in the 80's anyway.

HAS TO BE AT LEAST 25 YRS OLD !!!!  NO NEW CARS!!!

I would say open to all years. We have a younger crowd coming on and they certainly deserve a chance to win as well if they are preregistered. I think more people would come and enter their cars., but you may have to change the name of the club and a lot of old members would not like that, but we older guys are not going to around for ever so the younger ones will hopefully take over. You still can't replace the old Mopars though.

20 years or just keep it the same.

1981 and older

I think the age of car should be irrelevant. If someone has customized a PT Cruizer or Viper, why shouldn't they get the same treatment all other Mopar lovers get

(20 years old)

(20 years old) is a fair cut off date? Yes the 60's to 80's is really what Moparfest started from and the heart of what it is all about.

Open the giveaway to all years as well. It's about gearheads, and I have the same love for a Viper SRT10, or a Magnum SRT8, ok almost the same love, as I do for a 'Cuda, a Newport, or Challenger. Speaking of which, I'd love to see them there in couple of years!

20 years and older provides us with the right number of vehicles to fill the field. If we were to consider ether a. or b. above we would have to open registration to all vehicles regardless of age if we want to keep the numbers up.

Or lower -1981? (25 years old)? - Yes we Should move it along every year

20 years

25 years and older --

Open it to all years? Definitely NOT!

I think the 20 yrs. Cut off seems fair.

25 years or older, or specialty car (Shelby cars, SRT cars, etc)

newer vehicles would bring in more revenue, possibly resulting in a bigger grounds.-yikes!

Move it along year for year

1981 should be the cutoff date and keep it the same.

I think that the 20 year cut off is fine, because it takes alot more effort, time, and of course money to keep these old classics around to see one more birthday.

I'm more fond of older cars (25 years old)? at least - move it along every five would be good

and stay at 1986 and Older

1981 would be a fair cutoff date for cars on the show field. Let's face it, Chryslers after that date are very seldom noteworthy. And given the limited space, I think people would rather see more older cars, or even have more room to move around.

20 years old is fair.

I think it should be a rolling 20 years cut-off.

What about the new kids with the Neons? I know its not everyone cup of tea but they are the next generation of car people some thing should be done to encourage them.

20 years old sounds reasonable - at least legal driving age

keep it open to all years

Lower it too at least 25 year old.

20 years old

I think that staying at the 25 year old car to qualify is the way to go. The cars turn into classics then. That is what Mopar fest is all about, right?

20 And Older Is Ok

the cut-off year should be at 25 years.

Regarding eligibility for the prize, I like the idea of "20 years", with it changing every year to allow the next year to enter.

I think 1981 would make more sense for a cut off year. I don't regard the models of the 80's or later as classics just yet. Many models from this decade are still on the road as daily drivers, and seeing them in a car show doesn't stir any excitement

I have always had the understanding that for a vehicle to be an antique, it had to be 20 years old.

Leave it the way it is. If you open it up you will need a bigger field

any vehicle 20 years old or older

25 years or older sounds right to me.

I think the cut off should be a rolling calendar. Not alot of Mopars in the 80s and 90s to show anyway.

1981 sounds like a good point for now then let it move up each year.

a rolling 20 years old is my preference

I think it should be on a sliding scale twenty years and older like them or not they are the next classics.

(20 years old) &move it along every year

25 years or older.

a rolling 20 years old is my preference

I enjoy, no love the old muscle cars in my opinion anything newer than the seventies does not enter this era

(20 years old) is a fair cut off date? I think this is a fair to all participants….

 “1981 & lower”

Twenty years floating is the best to attract newer and younger devotees

25 years or older.

20 years old is a good cut off date.....

Do to the limited space you have on the grounds I would set myself a target of say 1500 cars. Initially I would open it up to classic cars only, say 25 years and older because lets face it that's what the crowd are coming to see. Then with 3 months to go I'd open up to the 15-25 year group and then if your still not to your target with a couple of months to go then I'd open it up to all years. But I would make sure I had a small space for show-ups. I wouldn't want to turn away a classic car that shows up at the gate because he just heard about the show last week.

I personally would rather see the cut off year at 25 yrs old and move it along every year , and definitely not open to all years - there just wouldn't be enough room .

keep it at 1981 and older

I like the 25-year idea, to me that is a true classic car.

As for the year cut off I feel that 1980 or older would be good. Not too much happened after that I feel so keep it real with the older vehicle's that started it all.

25 years or older - Keep it the same

It should be 25+ years old.

This one is very hard. We have a 1995 Stealth and my son would love to show it with my Barracuda but we have not done so yet. I guess if you were to use a year 1981 and hold it there (the auto manufactures really took the fun out of cars by then) and out of production (orphans) like the Stealth - Prowler. That way the stereo's on wheels and juiced up day drivers would not qualify.

25 years old or older

1981 we move it along every year

I am a fan of a 60's to early 70's Mopar ....so, Id prefer 30 years or older

the cut off date should be 25 years or older
